Dear Friends,

We are delighted to invite you to a Mary Pilgrimage at the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose Motherhouse on May 9, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00. This event is a special opportunity to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, and to deepen our relationship with her.

The Mary Pilgrimage will offer an hour of guided prayer visiting the ground’s Mary statues, praying the rosary and a reflection in the chapel, and a reception with the Sisters in the dining room. You will have a chance to experience the beauty and peace of the Motherhouse and to converse with the Dominican Sisters.

Why should we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary? Because she is the model of faith, hope, and love for all Christians. She said yes to God’s plan for her life, and she followed Jesus with courage and fidelity. She is the first and perfect disciple of Christ, and she intercedes for us with her Son. She is the Queen of Heaven and Earth, and the Mother of Mercy and Grace.

By honoring Mary, we honor Jesus, who gave her to us as our Mother at the foot of the cross. By imitating Mary, we grow closer to Jesus. By praying to Mary, we receive her help and guidance and her protection and comfort.
